From livestock shows, to impressive projects, to fun nights of entertainment, the Union County Fair has been carefully planned for the safety and enjoyment of all. Whether your 6 or 96, our fair has something for everyone. The schedule below is provided to give you a tentative look at the schedule for the best week of the year!

PRIOR TO THE FAIR
Friday, July 1st Fair entry deadline (all exhibits due) Saturday, June 25th 9:00am-4:00pm - Communications, Clothing, & Table Setting Events - Creston High School Saturday, July 16th 9:00am - Fair clean up & static building set up - fairgrounds & 4-H Building Tuesday, July 19th 6:00pm - Final fair clean up & cook out - fairgrounds Wednesday, July 20th 3:00-6:00pm - Static Exhibit check in (except baked goods) - 4-H Building FAIR WEEK Thursday, July 21st 8:00am - Livestock may enter the grounds 8:00-10:00am - Swine check in (vet check before unloading) 8:00-11:00am - Check in poultry & market broilers - Poultry Barn 8:15am - Static judges meeting - 4-H Building 8:30am-3:30pm - Static Exhibit judging by 4-H club - 4-H Building 11:00am-1:00pm - Check in rabbits - Small Animal Barn 3:00-5:00pm - Check in horses - Horse Barn 3:30-4:30pm - State Fair Selection. 4-H Building CLOSED. 4:00-6:00pm - Clover Kid Static Exhibit presentations and interviews - ISSB Show Arena 5:30-6:30pm - Check in Open Class Exhibits - Commercial Building 4:30-6:00pm - Check in sheep & goats - United Farmers Co-op Sheep, Goat, & Swine barn 5:30pm - Flag raising ceremony presented by the Creston VFW - flag pole near the 4-H Building 5:30pm - Selected for State Fair Static Exhibit photo - 4-H Building 6:00pm - Queen Coronation - ISSB Show Arena 7:00-9:00pm - Queen's Karaoke with Morgan Thompson - Grand Pavilion (Beer Garden) 7:00pm - Swine Exhibitor Meeting - United Farmers Co-op Sheep, Goat, & Swine barn 7:00pm - Bill Riley Talent Show - Commercial Building Friday, July 22nd 7:00-9:00am - Check in Beef (starting with Pen of 3 and Carcass) - FNB Cattle Barn 7:00-10:00am - Ultrasounding for Beef, followed by sheep 8:00am-12:00pm - 4-H/FFA Poultry Show - ISSB Show Arena.
